LHP Andrew Werner had another shaky start for Sacramento, allowing 7 runs on 9 hits over 4 2/3 innings to take the loss. Third baseman Scott Moore homered and drove in 3 runs, while first baseman Daric Barton, second baseman Jemile Weeks and outfielder Shane Peterson all doubled for the River Cats.

In his return from the disabled list, RHP Arnold Leon allowed 4 runs, 1 earned, on 4 hits over just 2 1/3 innings to take the loss. RHP Sean Murphy came in and did an admirable job in relief, allowing 2 runs and striking out 5 in 5 innings of work. Third baseman Miles Head, outfielder D’Arby Myers and designated hitter Chad Oberacker collected a pair of hits apiece for the RockHounds. And former A’s catching prospect Max Stassi hit a 2-run homer for the Hooks in the 1st inning.

LHP Jake Brown, making his first start of the season for Stockton, had a rough time on Thursday, giving up 6 runs on 7 hits over 3 innings to take the loss. RHP T.J. Walz did a solid job in relief, allowing no hits and no runs while striking out 5 in 3 innings of work. First baseman Max Muncy hit a 2-run homer, his 9th, while outfielder Josh Whitaker hit his 4th, a solo shot.

The Snappers got a solid start for the second straight night, this time from RHP Vince Voiro, who allowed just 3 hits over 5 scoreless innings to earn his 1st win of the season. RHP Derek De Young followed up with 4 scoreless innings of relief to pick up his 1st save. Shortstop Daniel Robertson had 3 hits, including his 2nd double and his 2nd home run, while first baseman Matt Olson had 2 hits, including his 7th double, and drove in a pair of runs in the win.
