Worth Noting: With the bases loaded and 2 outs and the game tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 8th inning, first baseman Anthony Aliotti doubled to clear the bases and drive home the game-winning run for the RockHounds on Saturday night. Starter Shawn Haviland had a solid outing, allowing just 1 unearned run on 4 hits over 7 innings of work, while right-hander Gary Daley tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win.

Third baseman B.A. Vollmuth made 3 errors in the game, 2 on the same play, that led to 1 unearned run in the 7th inning, but his 2-run homer in the 8th accounted for 2 of the Ports’ 3 runs on the night.

Right-hander Logan Chitwood did his best to quiet KaneCounty’s lineup with 3 scoreless innings in relief. Shortstop Sean Jamieson doubled in a run for the Bees but also made an error in the 1st inning that ultimately led to a pair of unearned runs.

In the Midland game, the key thing to me was Miles Head went 3 for 4 with a HR. (And 5 for 8 in last two.) Looks like he’s starting to figure out Righties – but not Lefties.
I still can’t believe Shane Peterson’s super hotness in AAA.
Yep, good to see Miles starting to pick up the pace at Midland.
