Outfielder Jeremy Barfield also hit a grand slam in the game, while starter Fabio Castro had a solid outing, allowing 1 run on just 1 hit while striking out 8 over 5 innings to earn his 2nd win for the RockHounds.

Kirby-Jones hit his 3rd home run in the last 2 days in the loss.

Worth Noting: First baseman Michael Soto and catcher Phil Pohl both homered, doubled and drove in 2 runs, while second baseman Melvin Mercedes and third baseman Renato Nunez both collected 3 hits and drove in a pair of runs in the win. Starter Gregory Paulino had a disastrous outing, allowing 8 runs in just 1 2/3 innings of work, but right-hander Lee Sosa picked up the win with 2 scoreless innings in relief.
