Worth Noting: Starter Brad Peacock had an interesting outing. On the good side, the right-hander struck out 11 batters over 7 innings of work, but he also gave up 2 home runs and left the game with a 4-0 deficit that Sacramento couldn’t overcome. The River Cats managed only 3 hits in the game, with outfielder Michael Taylor doubling for the team’s only extra base hit on the night.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Jeremy Barfield doubled to lead off the 12th inning and came around to score the winning run on catcher Beau Taylor’s single. Starter Fabio Castro had a solid outing, striking out 6 over 7 scoreless innings, while left-hander Beau Jones picked up the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Outfielder Eliezer Mesa tripled and drove in 2 runs, third baseman Wade Kirkland doubled and drove in 2, and outfielder Bobby Crocker and infielder Michael Fabiaschi contributed 3 hits apiece in the loss.

Shortstop Wilfredo Solano doubled for the team’s only extra base hit of the game.

Michael Soto homered, tripled and drove in 4, Reynaldo Mateo homered and drove in 3, and outfielder Luis Baez homered, doubled and drove in 2. Starter Vincent Voiro allowed 1 run in 3 innings of work, while left-hander Taylor Massey tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win.
