Worth Noting: Starter A.J. Griffin turned in another impressive performance for Sacramento, allowing just 1 run on 6 hits while throwing the River Cats’ first 9-inning complete game of the season. Anthony Recker, playing in left field, collected 3 hits, including his 1st home run, drove in 2 runs, scored twice and stole a base. Outfielder Grant Green and infielders Wes Timmons and Stephen Parker also homered in the win.

Worth Noting: Despite walking 4 batters, starter Sonny Gray managed to keep trouble at bay and tossed 5 scoreless innings to earn his 2nd win of the season on Wednesday. Outfielder Jeremy Barfield homered and drove in 4 runs, while first baseman Anthony Aliotti and catcher Ryan Lipkin both contributed home runs as well.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Chad Oberacker did it all for the Ports on Wednesday, stealing a couple of bases, homering, and driving in the go-ahead run in the 7th inning. Infielder Michael Gilmartin drove in 2 runs, and Miles Head hit his 15th home run to pad the Ports’ lead in the 8th. Starter Sean Murphy had a rare rough outing, allowing 6 runs over 5 innings, but right-hander Ryan Doolittle tossed 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win.

Worth Noting: The Bees’ exploded for 14 runs against Cedar Rapids on Wednesday night. Infielder Wade Kirkland blasted a grand slam in the 4th inning, while catcher Nick Rickles homered and drove in 3, and infielder Ryan Pineda homered and drove in 2. Starter Raul Alcantara had a rocky outing, allowing 4 runs in 5 innings, but still picked up his 4th win.
