Worth Noting: Catcher Anthony Recker broke up a 1-1 tie with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 12th inning to give Sacramento the win over Fresno on Friday night. Starter Bruce Billings allowed just 1 run and struck out 6 over 6 innings of work, while right-hander Danny Farquhar picked up his 1st win with 2 innings of scoreless relief.

Worth Noting: The RockHounds managed only 6 hits on Friday night, 2 of them home runs off the bats of infielders Josh Horton and Tyler Ladendorf. Starter Murphy Smith had a rough outing, allowing 7 runs, 5 earned, in 4 2/3 innings to take the loss.

Worth Noting: Modesto managed to shut out Stockton on just 4 hits on Friday night, 2 of them courtesy of catcher Beau Taylor. Starter Sean Murphy allowed 3 runs over 6 1/3 innings to take the loss and run his record with Stockton to 3-2.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Eliezer Mesa had 2 of Burlington’s 5 hits and scored both the Bees’ runs on Friday. Starter Max Perlman allowed 1 run on just 2 hits over 5 innings of work, while left-hander Jeff Urlaub struck out all 4 batters be faced in 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn his 5th win.

Worth Noting: Starter Bruce Billings allowed 2 runs over 5 innings of work, but the River Cats’ bullpen imploded, giving up 9 runs in 4 innings. The biggest culprits were Fautino De Los Santos who allowed 4 runs and Danny Farquhar who surrendered 5 runs. First baseman Chris Carter collected 3 hits, including his 11th home run, in the loss.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Conner Crumbliss doubled in 2 runs in the 3rd inning to account for all the RockHounds’ scoring on Saturday. Starter Shawn Haviland allowed 3 runs on 11 hits in just 4 innings to earn his 6th loss.

Worth Noting: First baseman A.J. Kirby-Jones, serving as the designated hitter for the night, hit a 3-run homer in the 1st inning, and Stockton never looked back. Third baseman Miles Head and outfielders Chad Oberacker and Mitch LeVier homered as well, and starter Josh Bowman allowed just 1 run in 5 innings of work to earn his 1st win.

Third baseman B.A. Vollmuth and outfielder Bobby Crocker collected 3 hits apiece and outfielder Eliezer Mesa doubled, drove in a run, stole 3 bases and scored twice in the win.

Worth Noting: Starter Travis Banwart allowed 4 runs, 3 earned, over 5 2/3 innings and left the game with Sacramento down 4-2. The River Cats came back to tie the game in the 8th inning, but right-hander Danny Farquhar gave up 2 runs in relief to take his 2nd loss. Shortstop Brandon Hicks had 2 hits, including his 8th home run for the River Cats

Worth Noting: Despite walking 6, starter Gary Daley allowed just 1 run on 3 hits over 6 1/3 innings to earn his 7th win for the RockHounds. Outfielder Michael Choice, who’s been heating up a bit of late, collected 3 hits, including a double, and drove in 2 runs in the win. Pitchers Dan Straily, Murphy Smith and Jonathan Ortiz, infielder Anthony Aliotti, and outfielders Shane Peterson, Conner Crumbliss and Jeremy Barfield were all selected to participate in the Texas League All-Star Game on June 28th in Tulsa.

Worth Noting: Starter Jacob Brown allowed 2 runs, just 1 earned, over 6 1/3 innings, and kept the game close enough to give Stockton a chance to stage a late-inning comeback. Third baseman Miles Head doubled in 2 runs in the 8th inning to tie the game and outfielder Chad Oberacker singled in the winning run in the 9th for the Ports.

Worth Noting: After scoring 14 runs on Wednesday, Burlington’s offense returned to its sluggish ways on Thursday, collecting just 4 hits in the game. Outfielder Royce Consigli collected 2 of the Bees’ 4 hits, and starter Max Perlman allowed 5 runs, 3 earned, to take the loss.

Monday, June 11th: A’s Affilates All Lose as Miles Head Has Big Night for Stockton

Worth Noting: Manny Ramirez has started to pick up the pace of late, collecting 2 doubles and driving in 4 runs over his last 2 games while raising his average at Sacramento to .282. Starter Bruce Billings, in his return from the disabled list, allowed just 1 run over 4 innings before departing with the game tied. Right-hander Danny Farquhar, in his 1st appearance since returning to the A’s organization, allowed 1 run in 2 innings of relief to take the loss.

Worth Noting: Neither Midland’s hitters or pitchers could do much against Frisco on Monday night. The RockHounds scored 1 run on 4 hits thanks to a double by outfielder Jeremy Barfield followed by a single off the bat of infielder Josh Horton, while starter Shawn Haviland allowed 6 runs over 5 1/3 innings to earn his 5th loss.

Worth Noting: Third baseman Miles Head posted another impressive performance for the Ports, going 4 for 4 with a home run and driving in all 3 of Stockton’s runs in the game. Starter Josh Bowman turned in his best outing of the year, throwing 6 shutout innings before leaving the game with a 2-run lead. Right-hander Connor Hoehn allowed 6 runs in 2 innings of relief to take the loss.

Worth Noting: Quad Cities paid Burlington back for the extra-innings beating they endured the night before by notching 18 runs against the Bees on Monday night. Starter Drew Granier had his worst outing of the season, allowing 10 earned runs over 5 innings to run his record to 8-3. Outfielder Bobby Crocker, catcher Nick Rickles and last night’s hero, infielder Wade Kirkland, all drove in 2 runs in the loss.
