Maxwell was named to the California League All-Star squad last week along with teammate Seth Streich. Outfielder Bobby Crocker also contributed a solo shot in the game, while second baseman Chad Pinder had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a run. First baseman Matt Olson walked twice and doubled in a pair and Addison Russell, serving as the designated hitter for the night, went 0 for 4 with 3 strikeouts after going 2 for 3 in his first game back on Sunday. RHP Seth Streich turned in another solid start for Stockton on Monday. The only damage against him came when Streich allowed a home run in the 4th after the leadoff batter reached base after striking out on a wild pitch and the next batter reached on an infield single. But outside the 4th inning, the only other baserunners to reach base off Streich on the night came on a single, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and a fielding error by shortstop Daniel Robertson. Meanwhile, first baseman Matt Olson singled, walked and hit a 2-run homer, his 14th, while outfielder Bobby Crocker singled, tripled and drove in 5 runs, outfielder Dusty Robinson singled, doubled and drove in 2, and second baseman Chad Pinder cracked a pair of doubles for the Ports.

Beloit’s batters managed just 6 hits in the game. 3 came courtesy of second baseman Luis Baez, but the big blow came off the bat of outfielder Tyler Marincov, whose 4th home run in the top of the 6th inning provided all the runs the Snappers would need. In other news, LHP Chris Lamb was promoted to Stockton and has been replaced in the Beloit bullpen by RHP Blake McMullen, who joined the team from extended spring training.
