Prospect Of The Game:

(2 or 4 / Triple / 3 RBIs / Stolen Base)

Las Vegas secured its second straight win over Reno on Monday. Left fielder Buddy Reed singled, stole a base and tripled with the bases loaded to drive in 3 runs and break the game open in the 8th inning for the Aviators. Designated hitter Francisco Pena singled and slugged a two-run homer, while first baseman Frank Schwindel singled in a run and drew a pair of walks, and second baseman Vimael Machin tripled and scored a run in his Las Vegas debut. RHP Matt Milburn turned in a strong start on Monday, throwing 5 scoreless frames to earn the victory for the Aviators. Outfielder Luis Barrera left the game after the 3rd inning, and it was reported by Martin Gallegos and others that the 25-year-old is set to join the A’s, presumably with Mitch Moreland landing on the injured list. Barrera was slashing .349/.429/.558 over his first 11 games for Las Vegas this season.
