Las Vegas launched half a dozen home runs on the way to victory over Salt Lake on Thursday. Second baseman Corban Joseph tagged a pair of two-run homers and drew a walk, while third baseman Eric Campbell hit a three-run homer and slugged a solo shot. Center fielder Dustin Fowler singled and socked a three-run homer, and first baseman Seth Brown singled, walked and hit his team-leading 19th home run for the Aviators. Starter Tanner Anderson allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, over 5 1/3 frames to earn his 5th victory for Vegas. Meanwhile, RHP Norge Ruiz, who compiled a 9.08 ERA in 19 relief appearances for the Aviators, was reassigned to the RockHounds on Thursday.

The RockHounds suffered a one-run loss to Corpus Christi on Thursday. Starter Kyle Friedrichs gave up 5 runs over 5 frames to take the loss, while LHP A.J. Puk allowed 1 run on 2 hits while walking none and striking out 4 in 2 innings of relief for the RockHounds. First baseman Chase Calabuig singled, homered and drove in 4 runs, while center fielder Dairon Blanco tripled, walked, tallied his team-best 26th stolen base and scored 3 runs for the RockHounds. Meanwhile, RHP Norge Ruiz was reassigned to the RockHounds from Las Vegas on Thursday.

Designated hitter Ryan Gridley singled, doubled twice and drove in a pair, while second baseman Trace Loehr had 3 hits, including a double, drew a walk and scored twice. The Snappers won their third straight on Thursday. First baseman Nick Ward walked, singled, tripled, homered, stole a base and drove in 4 runs, while shortstop Max Schuemann singled twice, doubled twice and drove in a run. Catcher Skyler Weber had 3 hits, including a double, drew a walk and drove in a pair, and right fielder Logan Farrar doubled twice and drove in 3 runs for the Snappers. 21-year-old Cuban RHP Richard Guasch made the start and surrendered 7 runs in just 1 2/3 innings of work, while RHP Rafael Kelly was outstanding relief, allowing 1 run on just 1 hit over 5 frames to pick up the win for the Snappers.

This year’s 6th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Seth Shuman, made the start and allowed 1 run over 3 innings of work, while 19-year-old Puerto Rican RHP Osvaldo Berrios gave up 2 runs, 1 earned, over 4 frames to take the loss. 20-year-old Venezuelan catcher Jose Rivas singled, doubled and hit a game-tying home run in the 5th inning for Vermont, while 18-year-old Colombian third baseman Jordan Diaz had 3 hits, including a double, for the Lake Monsters in the loss.

21-year-old Venezuelan third baseman Wilson Alvarez reached base 4 times, on a single, a double and a pair of walks, and scored a run for the A’s, while this year’s 11th-round draft pick for the A’s, first baseman Dustin Harris, singled in a run, walked twice, scored twice and stole a base. Left fielder Nico Giarratano singled, walked twice and scored twice, while 17-year-old Colombian center fielder Brayan Buelvas singled, walked and stole a base, and this year’s 5th-round draft pick, shortstop Jalen Greer, singled twice and drove in a pair for the A’s. 20-year-old Dominican RHP Jorge Juan made the start and gave up 3 runs in just 2/3 of an inning of work, while 18-year-old Venezuelan RHP Luis Martinez was solid in relief, throwing 3 1/3 scoreless frames to earn the win, and RHP Dominic Yearego got the final nine outs for the A’s to pick up the save.

18-year-old Panamanian third baseman Joshwan Wright tripled, singled twice, scored twice and drove in a pair, while 20-year-old Venezuelan right fielder Rafael Rincones had 3 hits and drove in a pair, and rehabbing first baseman Payton Squier singled, doubled and scored twice for the A’s. This year’s 38th-round draft pick for the A’s, LHP David Leal, tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win for the A’s on Thursday.
