Franklin Barreto helped lead Las Vegas to its third victory in its last four games on Sunday. The second baseman doubled twice, and belted his 10th home run to break an 8-8 tie in the top of the 9th inning and provide the margin of victory for the Aviators. Barreto is now slashing .424/.435/.932 during a blistering month of June. Third baseman Sheldon Neuse and rehabbing catcher Chris Herrmann collected 3 hits apiece, with Neuse driving in 3 and Herrmann driving in a pair, while shortstop Jorge Mateo and designated hitter Corban Joseph each singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a run for the Aviators. Opener Brian Schlitter gave up 1 run in 1 inning of work, while RHP Daniel Mengden was charged with 5 runs over 4 1/3 frames, and J.B. Wendelken threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the victory for Las Vegas.

RHP Brian Howard allowed 4 runs over 6 innings of work to suffer his 4th loss for Midland on Sunday. Center fielder Luis Barrera singled, laced his league-leading 11th triple, and drove in a pair of runs for the RockHounds in the loss.

Stockton notched its fifth win in its last six games on Sunday. LHP A.J. Puk made the start and gave up 1 run on 1 hit, a home run, while walking 1 and striking out 3 over 2 innings of work. Puk threw 30 pitches, 20 for strikes. He was replaced on the mound by LHP Jesus Luzardo, who allowed 1 run on 4 hits while walking none and striking out 9 over 4 frames to earn the win. Luzardo threw 52 pitches, 38 for strikes. Ports play-by-play man Zack Bayrouty reported that Puk topped out at 97 mph while Luzardo topped out at 99 mph. Second baseman Jeremy Eierman singled, doubled, drew a pair of walks and drove in a run, while third baseman Trace Loehr had 3 hits, drove in a run and scored twice, and designated hitter Jonah Bride singled, doubled and drove in a pair for the Ports.

The Snappers were shut out on just three hits on Sunday. RHP Chase Cohen turned in a solid start, allowing just 1 run over 5 frames, but he still ended up suffering his 7th loss for the Snappers. Shortstop Ryan Gridley, second baseman Joseph Pena and designated hitter JJ Schwarz all singled for the Snappers in the loss.

Vermont notched its third straight victory on Sunday. 21-year-old Dominican RHP Richard Jose Morban turned in a strong start, allowing just 1 run and striking out 5 over 5 frames for the Lake Monsters. RHP Clark Cota picked up the win despite giving up 1 run and issuing 4 walks in 1 1/3 innings of relief, and RHP Calvin Coker got the final out to notch the save. 18-year-old left fielder Danny Bautista singled, doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run, while 18-year-old first baseman Lawrence Butler tripled, walked and drove in 3 runs for Vermont.
