Las Vegas notched its fourth straight victory to run its record to a league-best 13-2 on Thursday. First baseman Eric Campbell collected 3 hits, including a home run in the top of the 9th to provide Las Vegas with a little extra cushion. He also stole a base and drove in a pair of runs in the game. Shortstop Jorge Mateo singled, tripled, drove in a run and scored twice, while right fielder Dustin Fowler had 3 hits, drew a walk and drove in a run. Center fielder Skye Bolt singled, doubled and drove in 3, and third baseman Sheldon Neuse had 3 hits and drove in a pair for the Aviators. Starter Tyler Alexander gave up 5 runs over 5 2/3 frames, while RHP Brian Schlitter picked up the win despite allowing 1 run in 1 1/3 innings of relief, and RHP Ryan Dull got the final four outs for Vegas to secure his 2nd save. And with RHP Chris Bassitt heading to Oakland, LHP Cody Stull was added to the Triple-A roster on Thursday.

In the completion of a game that was suspended in the 11th inning on April 7, the RockHounds hung on to register the victory on Thursday. When the game started a week and a half ago, catcher Collin Theroux homered in the 3rd inning to provide the RockHounds’ only run of the game, which remained tied 1-1 until Midland put 5 runs on the board in the top of the 11th. Second baseman Nate Mondou drew 4 walks, including a bases-loaded walk to bring home the go-ahead run in the 11th, while designated hitter Brallan Perez singled in 2 runs in the 11th, and third baseman Mikey White doubled in a pair of runs in the 11th for the RockHounds. RHP Grant Holmes, who was the game’s original starter, threw 3 scoreless innings, while his tandem-pitching partner, RHP Logan Verrett, allowed 1 run and struck out 5 over 5 frames, and LHP Zack Erwin picked up the win despite being charged with 1 unearned run in 2 innings of relief for the RockHounds.

Midland mounted a late-inning comeback to record the win in Thursday’s regularly-scheduled contest. Right fielder Greg Deichmann drilled a three-run homer to tie the game in the top of the 7th, while first baseman Anthony Miller drew a pair of walks and singled in the go-ahead run in the 7th. Shortstop Kevin Merrell singled twice, stole a base, drew a walk and drove in a run, and left fielder Luke Persico had 3 hits and drove in a run for the RockHounds. Starter Matt Milburn gave up 3 runs over 5 frames, while RHP John Gorman picked up the win despite being charged with 2 unearned runs in 1 inning of relief, and RHP Kyle Finnegan allowed a run in the 9th but hung on to record his 3rd save for the RockHounds. Meanwhile, Midland outfielder Luis Barrera, who’s been battling a sore shoulder, landed on the injured list on Thursday, and Snappers outfielder Chase Calabuig was reassigned to the RockHounds to take his place on the active roster.

Modesto mounted a late-inning comeback to secure the win over Stockton on Thursday. Starter Xavier Altamirano allowed 2 runs over 4 1/3 frames, while RHP Jesus Zambrano was charged with 2 runs in 2 innings of relief, and LHP Pat Krall gave up 2 runs in the top of the 9th to take the loss for Stockton. Second baseman Jeremy Eierman had a pair of hits, including a triple, and drove in 3 runs, while left fielder Lazaro Armenteros singled twice, walked and stole a base, and shortstop Nick Allen doubled and scored a run for Stockton in the loss.

Starter Daniel Martinez was charged with 4 unearned runs in just 1 inning of work to suffer the loss for the Snappers, while his tandem-pitching partner, RHP Aiden McIntyre, walked 5 and allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, over 2 frames on Thursday.  First baseman Nick Ward had a pair of hits, while shortstop Marcos Brito doubled and scored a run, and center fielder Anthony Churlin went 0 for 3 in his season debut for the Snappers. Meanwhile, Beloit outfielder Chase Calabuig was reassigned to the RockHounds, and last year’s 12th-round draft pick, outfielder Noah Vaughan, was assigned to the Snappers on Thursday.
