Right fielder Skye Bolt led the RockHounds to victory in extra innings on Friday. With two outs, a man on and the game tied in the bottom of the 13th inning, Bolt stepped to the plate and belted a two-run homer to help the Hounds win in a walk-off. Bolt also doubled in a run in the 1st and walked, was hit by a pitch, and stole a base in the game. Left fielder Tyler Ramirez collected 5 hits, drove in a pair and scored 3 runs while third baseman Nate Mondou had 4 hits and a walk and drove in 3. First baseman Seth Brown singled, doubled and drove in a pair, and center fielder Luis Barrera singled twice and swiped 3 bases for Midland. Starter Logan Shore allowed 4 runs over 6 frames, while RHP Kyle Finnegan gave up 4 runs, 2 earned, in the top of the 9th to allow San Antonio to tie the game, and RHP Sam Bragg picked up the win despite allowing 1 unearned run in the top of the 13th for the RockHounds.

RHP Frankie Montas turned in an outstanding start on Friday to help Nashville notch its fifth straight victory and get back to .500 for the first time since June 10. Montas struck out 7 while throwing 6 scoreless innings to earn his 3rd win for the Sounds. Center fielder Dustin Fowler collected 3 hits and stole a base, while first baseman Steve Lombardozzi singled twice, walked and scored 3 runs. Catcher Bruce Maxwell doubled in a run, and third baseman Sheldon Neuse drew a walk and singled in a run for the Sounds. In other news, RHP Carlos Ramirez cleared waivers and was assigned to the Sounds, while Nashville outfielder Ramon Laureano was promoted to Oakland and ended up providing the game-winning hit for the A’s in extra innings on Friday.

Midwest League strikeout leader Wyatt Marks turned in a strong start for Stockton in his California League debut on Friday. Marks allowed just 3 hits and struck out 5 while throwing 6 2/3 scoreless frames to pick up his 1st win for the Ports. Shortstop Eric Marinez singled, doubled and drove in 2 runs, while second baseman Trace Loehr drew a walk and tripled in a run, and left fielder Luke Persico singled twice and drove in a pair for the Ports.

The Snappers notched their third win in their last four games on Friday. Starter Jean Ruiz turned in his fourth quality start in his last five outings, giving up just 1 run over 7 innings of work, and he left the game with the lead. But RHP Jesus Zambrano allowed 2 runs in the top of the 8th to tie the game. First baseman Hunter Hargrove hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 1st inning for Beloit, while second baseman Ryan Gridley drove in a run in the 7th with a sacrifice fly. Center fielder Austin Beck singled in the tie-breaking run in the bottom of the 8th, and designated hitter Logan Farrar followed up with another RBI single to cement the victory for the Snappers. Despite giving up a pair of runs in relief, Zambrano picked up the win on Friday.

Vermont scored 15 runs to win its second straight over Hudson Valley on Friday. Left fielder Payton Squier collected 5 hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in 3 runs, while first baseman Aaron Arruda singled twice and slugged a two-run homer. Center fielder Anthony Churlin also hit a two-run homer, and second baseman Joseph Pena singled, tripled and drove in a pair for the Lake Monsters. Starter Gus Varland threw 4 scoreless frames, while RHP Clark Cota was credited with the win despite allowing 2 runs,1 earned, in 2 innings of relief, and RHP Charlie Cerny tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings to secure his 2nd save for Vermont.

The AZL A’s exploded for 19 runs to notch their fourth win in their last five games on Friday. This year’s 6th-round draft pick for the A’s, 18-year-old left fielder Lawrence Butler, had a big game at the plate, collecting a home run and a double while drawing 3 walks and drivng in 5 runs. First baseman Gio Dingcong homered in his second straight game, while second baseman Nick Ward had 3 hits, including a triple, drew a walk and drove in a run. Designated hitter John Jones singled, doubled, drew a pair of walks and drove in 3, and center fielder Kevin Richards had 3 hits and a walk and scored 4 runs for the A’s. RHP Caleb Evans made the start and tossed 2 scoreless innings, while RHP Richard Morban picked up the win despite being charged with 5 unearned runs in 3 2/3 innings of relief on Friday.
