Nashville came from behind to notch an extra-inning win over Salt Lake on Monday. Sounds starter Daniel Mengden got off to a rough start, surrendering 4 runs before exiting with two outs in the bottom of the 1st. Relievers Jake Sanchez, Danny Coulombe and Josh Lucas each allowed 1 run in relief. Center fielder Ramon Laureano had 3 hits and a walk and stole a base, while designated hitter Anthony Garcia doubled, drew a walk, drove in a run and scored twice, and first baseman Steve Lombardozzi doubled, drew a pair of walks and drove in 3. Right fielder Brett Vertigan doubled with the bases loaded in the top of the 9th to drive in 3 runs and tie the game. He also singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a total of 4 runs in the game. Catcher Beau Taylor tripled in the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th and also singled twice and drove in the Sounds’ first run in the 3rd inning. RHP Liam Hendriks tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to notch the win for Nashville. Meanwhile, the A’s recalled RHP Ryan Dull and sent RHP Frankie Montas back to the Sounds on Monday.

RHP Parker Dunshee turned in his second straight strong start to pitch Midland to its fifth win in its last seven games on Monday. Dunshee allowed 2 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings of work to earn his 3rd win for the RockHounds, while RHP Corey Walter tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief. Shortstop Eli White collected 3 hits to raise his team-best batting average to .321, while center fielder Luis Barrera singled, doubled and stole a base. Left fielder Tyler Ramirez had 2 hits and drove in a run, and first baseman Seth Brown singled twice, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs for the RockHounds.

The Snappers suffered their third loss in their last four games on Monday. Starter Ivan Andueza surrendered 4 runs, 3 earned over 5 frames to take his 8th loss for Beloit. Left fielder Lazaro Armenteros collected 3 hits, while catcher Jordan Devencenzi and first baseman Jack Meggs had a pair of hits apiece for the Snappers. Meanwhile, infielder Jesus Lopez landed on the disabled list and infielder Miguel Mercedes was added to the Snappers roster on Monday.

The Lake Monsters suffered a walk-off loss to Connecticut on Monday. This year’s 9th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Chase Cohen, made the start and was solid, striking out 7 while throwing 3 scoreless innings for Vermont. 20-year-old Dominican RHP Jose Mora allowed 2 runs in 4 innings of relief and left the game with his team holding a one-run lead, but this year’s 16th-round pick, RHP Bryce Nightengale, surrendered 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to suffer his 2nd loss for the Lake Monsters. Last year’s 16th-round draft pick for the A’s, left fielder Payton Squier, singled twice and doubled, while 18-year-old Dominican designated hitter Marcos Brito had 3 hits and drove in a run, and this year’s 20th-round pick, third baseman Max Schuemann, singled twice and drove in a run for Vermont in the loss. Meanwhile, the A’s released Lake Monsters catcher Lana Akau, and this year’s 8th-round pick, catcher JJ Schwarz, was added to Vermont’s roster on Monday.
