Right fielder Seth Brown continued his hot hitting, collecting a home run, a double and a walk while driving in 3 runs. Center fielder Skye Bolt had 4 hits, including a solo home run, and designated hitter Sandber Pimentel had 3 hits for the Ports. Starter Brandon Bailey was charged with 5 runs, just 1 earned, over 2 innings of work to take the loss for Stockton. The RockHounds came up short in Game #2 on Thursday to even things up in their best-of-five playoff series with San Antonio. First baseman Viosergy Rosa had another big night at the plate, collecting a home run and a double, and Rosa now has 3 home runs, 2 doubles and 9 RBIs over the first two games of the series. Center fielder J.P. Sportman singled, doubled and drove in a run, while right fielder Jordan Tarsovich had a pair of hits, and shortstop Jorge Mateo singled in a run for the RockHounds. Vermont was shut out on just 4 hits on Thursday in the completion of Wednesday’s suspended game. Second baseman Javier Godard had 2 hits, including a double, while catcher Iolana Akau and first baseman Hunter Hargrove both singled for the Lake Monsters. LHP Jesus Luzardo started the game on Wednesday by pitching 2 perfect innings. LHP Ivan Andueza took over on Thursday and threw 4 scoreless frames, while RHP Branden Kelliher tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, but RHP Bryce Conley gave up the winning run in the bottom of the 9th to take the loss as Lowell won in a walk-off.

Vermont was victorious in its final regular season game on Thursday to finish the season with a 42-33 record. With the game tied in the top of the 6th inning, catcher Jarrett Costa doubled in 2 runs to provide the margin of victory for Vermont. Second baseman Ryan Gridley had a pair of hits, while third baseman Javier Godard singled in a run for the Lake Monsters. Starter Oscar Tovar allowed just 1 run over 4 innings of work, while RHP Malik Jones pitched 1 perfect inning in relief to pick up the win, and RHP Michael Danielak got the final three outs to secure his 4th save for Vermont.
