With the bases loaded, two outs and the Ports down by a pair of runs in the top of the 3rd inning, first baseman Seth Brown stepped to the plate and slugged a grand slam off rehabbing Giants RHP Johnny Cueto to give Stockton a lead it would never surrender on Sunday. Brown also singled in another run for the Ports in the 4th to extend his league-leading RBI total to 99, while his 26 home runs are good for second in the league. Starter Dalton Sawyer allowed 5 runs while striking out 8 over 5 frames to pick up his 5th win for the Ports, while RHP Nolan Blackwood pitched a perfect 9th to notch his 18th save for Stockton.

Nashville shut out Round Rock on just four hits to notch its fourth win in its last five games on Sunday. RHP Ben Bracewell turned in an outstanding start for the Sounds, allowing just 3 hits over 7 shutout innings to earn the win, and he’s now failed to surrender a run over his last 13 frames for Nashville. RHPs Corey Walter and Raul Alcantara each tossed 1 scoreless inning in relief to complete the shutout on Sunday. First baseman Chris Carter clubbed a 2-run homer, while shortstop Yairo Munoz collected 3 hits and scored twice, and third baseman Joey Wendle singled, doubled and drove in a run for the Sounds.

Five errors helped lead the Hounds to their third loss in their last four games on Sunday. RHP James Naile turned in a solid start, allowing 3 runs, just 1 earned over 6 innings of work. Left fielder Tyler Ramirez singled twice, walked and drove in a run, while catcher Sean Murphy walked and doubled in a run, and shortstop Jorge Mateo hit a game-tying 2-run homer in the 7th. But RHP Tyler Sturdevant allowed 4 runs, just 1 earned, in the top of the 10th to take the loss on Sunday.

Vermont notched its fourth victory in its last five games on Sunday. Right fielder Greg Deichmann tripled, walked and scored a run, while third baseman Will Toffey singled, walked and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Starter Argenis Blanco allowed 2 runs over 5 frames to earn his 5th victory for Vermont, while LHP Josh Reagan tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Michael Danielak pitched 2 perfect innings to pick up his 2nd save for the Lake Monsters.
