Five home runs helped Stockton snap its four-game losing streak on Tuesday. Third baseman Sheldon Neuse wielded the biggest bat of the night, collecting 3 hits, including 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 runs for the Ports. Right fielder Seth Brown belted a pair of home runs to give him a team-leading total of 19 while driving in 3 runs, and catcher Argenis Raga added a solo shot for Stockton. Starter Logan Shore allowed 3 runs over 4 innings of work, while RHP Miguel Romero tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up his 1st win for the Ports, and RHP Armando Ruiz got the final four outs for Stockton to secure his 2nd save.

It might have taken 10 innings, but Nashville came back to notch its fourth win in its last five games on Tuesday. Starter Michael Brady allowed just 1 run over 5 innings of work, while designated hitter Joey Wendle slugged his 7th home run to put the Sounds on the board in the 2nd inning, and second baseman Franklin Barreto doubled in a run in the 6th to give his team a 2-1 lead. But LHP Felix Doubront gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th to surrender the lead before left fielder Kenny Wilson‘s base-loaded walk brought home the tying run in the top of the 9th. Third baseman Renato Nunez then scored the winning run in the top of the 10th on Wendle’s double, and Wilson then added a 2-run single to extend the lead. RHP Raul Alcantara tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up his 1st win of the season for the Sounds. Meanwhile, the A’s recalled Nashville first baseman Matt Olson on Tuesday, and Sounds catcher Beau Taylor was placed on the disabled list due to concussion symptoms.

A rough relief appearance by RHP James Naile led the RockHounds to their fourth loss in their last five games on Tuesday. Starter Dustin Hurlbutt allowed 4 runs over 4 innings of work, but Naile surrendered 7 runs, 6 earned, in 3 1/3 innings of relief to suffer his 2nd loss for Midland. Shortstop Jorge Mateo singled, doubled and stole a base, while first baseman Viosergy Rosa had 2 hits and drove in a run. Center fielder B.J. Boyd singled, walked, stole a base and drove in a pair, and third baseman Jordan Tarsovich drew a pair of walks and singled in a run for the RockHounds.

The Snappers were shut out on just 3 hits to suffer their fifth straight loss on Tuesday. Second baseman Jesus Lopez singled and tripled, and center fielder JaVon Shelby singled to account for all of Beloit’s base hits in the loss. Starter Seth Martinez surrendered 5 runs over 5 innings of work to suffer his 6th loss for the Snappers.

The Lake Monsters won in a walk-off on Tuesday. Shortstop Kevin Merrell homered in the bottom of the 1st to put Vermont on the board and then walked and scored the winning run on second baseman Ryan Gridley‘s RBI double in the bottom of the 9th. Starter Jean Ruiz allowed 1 run in 4 innings of work, while LHP Jhenderson Hurtado tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Michael Danielak threw 3 shutout frames to close things out and earn his 2nd victory for Vermont. In other news, it was announced on Tuesday that Lake Monsters outfielder Greg Deichmann, infielder Ryan Gridley, catcher Jordan Devencenzi and RHPs Parker Dunshee, Branden Kelliher and Jean Ruiz would represent Vermont in the New York-Penn League All-Star Game next week.

This year’s 5th-round draft pick for the A’s, catcher Santis Sanchez, singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs, while first baseman Alonzo Medina tripled, and designated hitter Lazaro Armenteros doubled in a run and stole a base for the A’s. Starter Osvaldo Berrios allowed 2 runs in 2 innings of work to suffer his 2nd loss, while RHP Jose Mora gave up 3 runs over 3 2/3 frames, and LHP Pat Krall tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief on Tuesday.
