The Lake Monsters lost in a 10-inning walk-off on Monday. This year’s 36th-round draft pick for the A’s, center fielder Logan Farrar, had another big game at the plate for Vermont. The 22-year-old collected 3 hits, including 2 doubles, and drove in a pair of runs, and he’s now gone 7 for 18 with 6 RBIs over his last 5 games for the Lake Monsters. 4th-round third baseman Will Toffey and 25th-round first baseman Hunter Hargrove both singled and doubled in the loss. 19-year-old Venezuelan RHP Oscar Tovar made the start and allowed 2 runs over 5 innings of work. 20-year-old Dominican RHP Wandisson Charles came in to to preserve a 3-run lead in the bottom of the 9th but instead surrendered 3 runs to send the game to extra innings. And 23rd-round RHP Malik Jones ended up allowing the winning run in the bottom of the 10th to take the loss as Hudson Valley won in a walk-off on Monday.

The Sounds suffered the loss in a 12-inning walk-off to snap their three-game winning streak on Monday. Starter Daniel Gossett allowed 4 runs over 3 2/3 innings of work in his return to the Sounds, while RHP Kyle Finnegan gave up 2 runs in 1 inning of relief. LHP Patrick Schuster surrendered the tying run in the bottom of the 9th to send the game to extra innings, and RHP Lou Trivino ended up allowing the winning run in the bottom of the 12th to take the loss as Tacoma won in a walk-off. First baseman Chris Carter drew a pair of walks and doubled in 2 runs for the Sounds. Designated hitter Renato Nunez singled twice, walked twice, scored twice and stole a base, while third baseman Yairo Munoz singled twice, stole a base and drove in a pair. Left fielder Kenny Wilson had 2 hits, including a double, and drew a walk, and center fielder Boog Powell singled, doubled and walked in his first game for the Sounds since being acquired from Seattle in return for first baseman Yonder Alonso on Sunday. Meanwhile, catcher Ryan Lavarnway cleared waivers and was sent to the Sounds on Monday.

The Snappers came up with 12 hits but still ended up suffering their fourth straight loss on Monday. Center fielder Mike Martin singled twice, stole a base and drove in a pair of runs, while third baseman Edwin Diaz had 2 hits, including a double. Shortstop Eric Marinez singled twice and walked twice, and designated hitter Kyle Nowlin had 2 hits and drove in a pair for the Snappers. LHP Zack Erwin had a rare rough outing, allowing 5 runs in just 3 innings of work to take the loss on Monday.
