Shortstop Yairo Munoz had a big night at the plate for Nashville. The 22-year-old homered, doubled twice and drove in 5 runs for the Sounds on Saturday. First baseman Matt McBride had 3 hits, including a home run and a double, while right fielder Mark Canha singled twice and doubled. Center fielder Jaff Decker had a pair of hits and a walk, and designated hitter Matt Olson doubled, walked and drove in a run. Starter Frankie Montas was solid, striking out 5 over 4 scoreless frames. RHP Josh Smith allowed 1 run in 3 innings of work to earn his 3rd win, while RHP Lou Trivino gave up 4 runs in just 1/3 of an inning of relief, and Kyle Finnegan notched the final five outs for Nashville to secure the save.

Left fielder Tyler Ramirez singled and slugged a 2-run homer, while shortstop Richie Martin had 3 hits, including a triple, and drove in a run as the RockHounds fell for the fifth time in their last seven games on Saturday.

RHP Xavier Altamirano turned in an outstanding start for the Snappers, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits over 6 innings of work to earn his 6th win on Saturday. Shortstop Eric Marinez had 3 hits, including a double, walked and drove in a run, while third baseman Trace Loehr singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run, and first baseman Kyle Nowlin singled, doubled and drove in the winning run in the 5th inning to help the Snappers secure their fourth win in their last five games on Saturday.

The Lake Monsters fell in 14 innings on Saturday. This year’s 7th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Parker Dunshee, had another solid start, striking out 5 over 3 scoreless innings, and the 22-year-old has now failed to allow a run in 10 2/3 innings of work for Vermont. Catcher Jordan Devencenzi singled in the tying run in the bottom of the 8th inning, while first baseman Jarrett Costa, third baseman Will Toffey and right fielder Logan Farrar had a pair of hits apiece. With the game tied in the top of the 14th, outfielder Anthony Churlin took the mound, and a pair of errors by Toffey and left fielder Greg Deichmann helped open the door for 3 unearned runs to score off Churlin, who suffered the loss for the Lake Monsters on Saturday.

Rehabbing RHP Logan Shore had another strong start for the AZL A’s, striking out 7 over 3 shutout innings on Saturday. LHP Chris Kohler threw 3 scoreless frames in relief to pick up the win. 18-year-old Cuban left fielder Lazaro Armenteros slugged his 2nd home run in the 8th inning and drove in a pair, while 17-year-old Dominican second baseman Marcos Brito hit his 1st home run in the 9th and drew a pair of walks for the A’s.
