LHP Zack Erwin turned in another strong start to help the Snappers snap their six-game skid on Monday. Erwin had a career-high 8 strikeouts over 6 scoreless innings to earn the win and lower his ERA on the season to 2.28. RHP Yordys Alejo got the final out in the 9th to notch his 2nd save for the Snappers. Designated hitter Kyle Nowlin had 2 hits, including a double, walked and drove in a pair, while center fielder Mike Martin singled, doubled, walked and scored a run, and shortstop Eric Marinez had a pair of hits and drove in a run for Beloit.

The RockHounds were shut out on just 5 hits to suffer their third straight loss on Monday. Second baseman Branden Cogswell had 2 of those hits, while left fielder Tyler Ramirez singled and drew a pair of walks, and shortstop Richie Martin doubled for the Hounds’ only extra-base hit of the game. Starter Casey Meisner was charged with 4 runs over 4 2/3 frames to suffer his 3rd loss for Midland.

LHP Dalton Sawyer had a rough start, surrendering 7 runs over 4 innings of work to suffer his 2nd loss as Stockton lost its third straight at Lancaster on Monday. RHP Kyle Friedrichs gave up another 3 runs in 4 innings of relief for the Ports. Center fielder Skye Bolt came up with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the 9th and slugged a grand slam for Stockton.

Three AZL A’s pitchers combined to shut out the AZL D-backs on just 2 hits on Monday. Starter Logan Shore pitched 3 perfect innings in his second strong rehab appearance in Arizona, while this year’s 15th-round draft pick for the A’s, LHP Josh Reagan, tossed 2 shutout innings to pick up the win, and 21-year-old Venezuelan LHP Jhenderson Hurtado threw 4 scoreless frames to secure the save for the A’s. This year’s 3rd-round pick, 18-year-old shortstop Nick Allen, had a productive night at the plate, collecting 3 hits, driving in a pair of runs, scoring twice and also stealing a base. 17-year-old Dominican second baseman Yerdel Vargas had 3 singles and stole a base, while 25th-round first baseman Hunter Hargrove singled, doubled and walked, and 18-year-old Cuban left fielder Lazaro Armenteros singled twice, walked and drove in a run for the A’s.
