More great starting pitching enabled the Midland RockHounds to win Game #4 of the best-of-five championship series and clinch their third straight Texas League Championship title on Friday. Starting pitchers Joel Seddon, Corey Walter and Brandon Mann were all solid in the first three games of the series and, on Friday, it was RHP James Naile’s turn. The 23-year-old allowed just 2 hits over 6 shutout innings to earn the win, while RHP Kyle Finnegan was charged with the Naturals’ sole run in relief. RHP Trey Cochran-Gill tossed 2 scoreless innings, and RHP Jake Sanchez pitched a perfect 9th to pick up his 3rd save of the series. First baseman Viosergy Rosa homered in the 2nd inning to give the Hounds an early lead, while right fielder Tyler Marincov homered in the 5th. Center fielder Brett Vertigan doubled in a run, and shortstop Richie Martin, second baseman Max Schrock and third baseman Yairo Munoz had a pair of hits apiece to help the Hounds clinch their third straight championship on Friday.
