The RockHounds won Game #1 of the best-of-five Texas League Championship Series to move a step closer to clinching their third straight Texas League title on Tuesday. Right fielder Tyler Marincov collected 3 hits, singling and scoring in the 1st inning, then singling in the tying run in the top of the 3rd before singling and being left stranded in the 5th. Second baseman Max Schrock singled, doubled and scored twice, while third baseman Yairo Munoz walked and doubled in a pair of runs, and outfielders J.P. Sportman and Brett Vertigan both singled in runs for the RockHounds. Starter Joel Seddon allowed 3 runs and struck out 6 over 6 innings of work to earn the win, while RHP Trey Cochran-Gill tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Jake Sanchez picked up the save despite giving up 1 run in the 9th for Midland. Before the series, the RockHounds placed RHP Ben Bracewell on the disabled list while adding LHP Evan Manarino to the roster.
