After scoring 13 runs on 18 hits in Sunday’s game, the Sounds came back to plate 12 runs on 17 hits to win their third straight on Monday. Meanwhile on the mound, LHP Dillon Overton was outstanding, allowing just 1 run while striking out 7 over 6 innings of work to earn his team-leading 12th win for Nashville. Second baseman Joey Wendle had a big night at the plate, collecting 4 hits, including a triple and a pair of doubles, while driving in 3 runs. Center fielder Jaycob Brugman homered for the second straight day, slugging a 3-run shot for the Sounds, while third baseman Matt Chapman notched his 1st home run for Nashville, and shortstop Josh Rodriguez and right fielder Rangel Ravelo had 3 hits apiece in the win. RHP Carlos Navas, who was promoted from the Ports earlier in the day, tossed 1 scoreless inning in his Triple-A debut. And with Nashville’s Arismendy Alcantara recalled by the A’s on Monday, Stockton outfielder B.J. Boyd was reassigned to the Sounds.

RHP Angel Duno had his second straight rough start for the Snappers, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits in just 4 innings of work to suffer his 6th loss on Monday. Third baseman Trace Loehr had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a run for Beloit. RHP Yordy Alejo, who was reassigned to the Snappers from the Lake Monsters earlier in the day, tossed 1 scoreless inning in relief. Meanwhile, one of Beloit’s top bullpen arms, LHP Jared Lyons, was promoted to the Ports on Monday.

RHP Jesus Zambrano turned in a solid start for the Lake Monsters on Monday, allowing just 1 unearned run over 5 innings of work, and he left with the game a 1-1 tie. And it remained tied until the bottom of the 9th inning, when LHP Derek Beasley gave up the winning run with two outs to suffer his 2nd loss as the Lake Monsters lost in a walk-off on Monday. Center fielder Steven Pallares had a pair of doubles, while designated hitter Eli White and first baseman Miguel Mercedes both singled twice in the loss.

Rehabbing RHP Dustin Driver allowed 4 hits and 3 walks over 2 2/3 scoreless innings of work on Monday, while RHP Branden Kelliher gave up 3 runs, 2 earned, in 2 1/3 innings of relief in his return to the AZL A’s from Vermont. RHP Nick Highberger tossed 2 scoreless innings to earn the win, and RHP Joseph Camacho got the final six outs to post his 3rd save for the A’s. First baseman Charley Gould had 3 hits and a walk and drove in a run, while second baseman Josh Vidales walked, stole a base and tripled in a run, and catcher Miguel Guzman and third baseman Casey Thomas had a pair of hits apiece and each drove in a run in the win.
