RHP Eduard Santos got the final out to pick up his 5th save for the Sounds. First baseman Rangel Ravelo had a pair of doubles and drove in a run, while left fielder Colin Walsh also doubled twice and scored twice, and right fielder Matt Olson doubled in a pair as the Sounds won their third straight. After surrendering 8 runs in his last outing, 19-year-old RHP Dakota Chalmers delivered an impressive start for the Lake Monsters on Saturday, allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks over 6 shutout innings, but he left with the game a scoreless tie. This year’s 6th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Brandon Bailey, followed with 3 1/3 scoreless frames in relief, but a pair of errors and a passed ball helped let 3 runs score, 1 earned, off LHP Ty Damron in the top of the 11th inning, who suffered his 2nd loss for the Lake Monsters. Right fielder Jhonny Rodriguez hit a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 11th, but it wasn’t enough as the Lake Monsters lost their sixth straight.
