Though he ended up suffering his 6th loss for the Sounds on Friday, RHP Jesse Hahn looked strong throughout most of the game. The 27-year-old threw 6 2/3 shutout innings before surrendering a 3-run homer with two outs in the 7th inning to take the loss. RHP Eduard Santos then followed with 2 scoreless innings in relief. Shortstop Chad Pinder had two hits, including an RBI triple to put the Sounds on the board in the bottom of the 1st. Then, down by a run in the 8th, Nashville loaded the bases with no outs on three consecutive singles but failed to push the tying run across the plate. The Sounds are now set to start a 12-game road trip in New Orleans on Saturday.

Starter Brandon Mann allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, over 5 2/3 innings of work for Midland and left the game with his team down by three runs on Friday. But the RockHounds came back to score three in the top of the 9th inning to tie the game. Shortstop Franklin Barreto had 3 hits on the night, including a two-out RBI double in the Hounds’ three-run 9th, and ended up scoring the tying run when catcher Beau Taylor singled in a pair of runs. The tie didn’t last long though. RHP Jake Sanchez surrendered the winning run in the bottom of the 9th as the RockHounds lost in a walk-off to snap their four-game winning streak on Friday.

Starter Kyle Friedrichs was charged with 5 runs over 6 innings of work to suffer his 4th loss for Stockton on Friday. First baseman Sandber Pimentel reached base 3 times, on 2 hits and a walk, while right fielder Joe Bennie had a pair of singles for the Ports.

RHP Boomer Biegalski had a shaky start for the Snappers on Friday, allowing 6 runs over 7 innings of work to suffer his 6th loss. Left fielder Justin Higley singled, walked and slugged his 6th home run, while shortstop Jean Carlo Rodriguez singled and doubled in the loss.

RHP Heath Bowers suffered through a rough start on Friday, allowing 6 runs over 4 1/3 innings to take the loss for the Lake Monsters. Left fielder Tyler Ramirez singled, doubled, walked and drove in 2 runs, while shortstop Eli White and designated hitter Luis Barrera had a pair of hits apiece for Vermont.

18-year-old Venezuelan RHP Oscar Tovar tossed 2 scoreless innings, and designated hitter Kyle Nowlin walked and scored on a throwing error before Friday’s game was suspended after two complete innings due to lightning.
