2014’s 3rd-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Brett Graves, turned in one of his best starts of the season for Stockton on Monday, allowing just 1 hit while walking none over 6 shutout innings to earn his 4th win for the Ports. Relievers Cody Stull, Joey Wagman and Lou Trivino each threw 1 scoreless inning in relief to complete the 5-hit shutout for Stockton. First baseman John Nogowski singled, homered and drove in 3 runs, while third baseman Jose Brizuela had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair for the Ports.

LHP Brandon Mann had his second straight strong start for Midland on Monday, allowing just 1 run while striking out 8 over 6 1/3 innings to earn his 1st win for the RockHounds. Catcher Bryan Anderson had a pair of doubles and drove in a run, while shortstop Franklin Barreto doubled in a run, walked and stole his 22nd base, and third baseman Matt Chapman and designated hitter Viosergy Rosa each had a pair of hits and drove in a run to help the RockHounds win their third straight on Monday.

First baseman Ryan Howell singled, homered and walked, while left fielder Justin Higley had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair, and designated hitter Jordan Devencenzi singled, doubled, walked and scored twice as the Snappers won their third straight on Monday.

RHP Xavier Altamirano, last year’s 27th-round draft pick for the A’s, turned in another outstanding start for the Lake Monsters on Monday, allowing 4 hits while walking none over 7 shutout innings to earn his 2nd victory for Vermont. And Altamirano has now allowed just 1 earned run over 21 1/3 innings of work for the Lake Monsters this season. RHP Yordy Alejo tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to complete the 4-hit shutout and earn his 2nd save for Vermont. Left fielder Luis Barrera collected 3 hits and drove in 2 runs, while designated hitter Nate Mondou had 2 singles and drove in a pair for the Lake Monsters. A’s top draft pick A.J. Puk is scheduled to make his season debut for Vermont on Tuesday.
