Beloit starter Angel Duno tossed 2 shutout innings in his return from the disabled list on Wednesday, while RHP Dustin Driver failed to allow a run in his 1 inning of relief. RHP Boomer Biegalski then came on in the bottom of the 4th inning and dominated the rest of the way, allowing just 3 hits while walking none and striking out 5 over 6 scoreless innings of work to complete the Snappers’ 5-hit shutout and pick up his 5th win on Wednesday. Left felder Justin Higley doubled with two outs in the top of the 3rd, and shortstop Trace Loehr’s RBI double brought him home for Beloit’s first run, while first baseman Ryan Howell doubled and scored on catcher Jose Chavez’s sacrifice fly in the 5th. Meanwhile, catcher Andy Paz was reassigned from the RockHounds to the Snappers on Wednesday.

Center fielder Jaycob Brugman belted a 2-run homer in the top of the 3rd inning to give Nashville an early 2-run lead on Wednesday, but RHP Nick Tepesch allowed 4 runs over 5 1/3 innings of work in his second start for the Sounds. First baseman Rangel Ravelo doubled in a run and catcher Carson Blair singled in a run to tie the game in the top of the 7th. RHP Angel Castro then gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to allow Memphis to retake the lead, but pinch hitter Max Muncy smashed a 2-run homer in the top of the 9th to tie the game once again. Then, in the bottom of the 9th, RHP Ryan Brasier surrendered a two-out, game-winning home run to take the loss as Nashville lost in a walk-off. Meanwhile, Sounds catcher Bryan Anderson was reassigned to the RockHounds on Wednesday.

25-year-old RHP Ben Bracewell turned in a strong start for the RockHounds, throwing 6 shutout innings to earn his 5th win on Wednesday. RHP Jake Sanchez tossed 2 scoreless frames in relief, and RHP Kyle Finnegan got the final three outs to complete the 6-hit shutout for the Hounds. First baseman Viosergy Rosa doubled with the bases loaded to drive in 3 runs, while second baseman Franklin Barreto had 3 hits, including a double, walked, scored twice and stole a pair of bases, and catcher Bryan Anderson went 0 for 4 in his first game for the RockHounds. While Anderson joined Midland from Nashville on Wednesday, catcher Andy Paz was reassigned from the RockHounds to the Snappers, and Midland RHP Kris Hall was placed on the disabled list.

LHP Zack Erwin had another shaky start for Stockton, allowing 5 runs over 4 2/3 innings to take his 9th loss on Wednesday. Center fielder Seth Brown singled, walked and belted his 5th home run in the bottom of the 8th inning to provide the Ports with their only run in the loss.

The Lake Monsters were shut out on 6 hits in a rain-shortened, 5-inning game on Wednesday. 21-year-old Venezuelan LHP Ivan Andueza was charged with 6 runs, just 2 earned, over 3 2/3 innings to take the loss for the Lake Monsters. Shortstop Eli White had a pair of singles, while second baseman Eric Marinez and left fielder Luis Barrera both doubled in the loss.
