Prospect Of The Game:

Shortstop Tyler Ladendorf

Things got off to a rough start for RHP Jesse Hahn on Friday. He gave up 4 runs, 1 earned, in the first 2 innings with the help of three errors, two by third baseman Renato Nunez and one by first baseman Ryon Healy. Hahn didn’t help his cause by allowing a double and a pair of singles, hitting a batter and uncorking a pair of wild pitches in the first 2 frames. And after laboring through 41 pitches in the first 2 innings, he exited with a possible ankle injury and was replaced by RHP Ryan Doolittle, who gave up 2 runs in 3 innings of relief to suffer his 2nd loss for the Sounds. Healy and shortstop Tyler Ladendorf each singled, doubled and drove in a run in the loss. And in other news, A’s manager Bob Melvin announced that Sounds starter Dillon Overton would be making his major league debut for the A’s on Saturday. The 24-year-old southpaw has posted a 3.01 ERA for Nashville this season while winning his last 7 straight starts and failing to allow an earned run over his last 25 1/3 innings for the Sounds.
