Starter Angel Castro surrendered 3 runs over 6 innings of work on Tuesday, but shortstop Chad Pinder, who had 3 hits in the game, slugged his 6th home run in the bottom of the 5th inning to give the Sounds a slim 1-run lead. LHP Patrick Schuster surrendered 1 run in the 7th to tie the game at 4-4, and it remained tied until RHP J.B. Wendelken gave up 3 runs in the top of the 10th to take the loss on Tuesday. Second baseman Arismendy Alcantara singled, tripled, walked and swiped a pair of bases, while third baseman Renato Nunez singled, walked and drove in a run, and first baseman Rangel Ravelo had a pair of hits in the loss. With Oakland LHP Sean Manaea landing on the disabled list, Sounds LHP Eric Surkamp was recalled to take his spot on the A’s roster. Surkamp made the start for Oakland on Tuesday night and surrendered 7 runs in 2 1/3 innings to suffer his 4th loss for the A’s.

Starter Joel Seddon allowed 3 runs over 5 innings of work and left with the game a 3-3 tie on Tuesday. RHP Sam Bragg tossed 2 scoreless innings of relief, while RHP Bobby Wahl pitched a perfect 8th. Shortstop Franklin Barreto slugged his 6th home run, a solo shot, in the top of the 9th to give his team the lead. But RHP Kyle Finnegan gave up a 2-run homer with one out in the bottom of the 9th to take the loss as Frisco came back to win in a walk-off. Catcher Beau Taylor had a pair of doubles, while right fielder Tyler Marincov singled and drove in a pair of runs in the loss. And it was announced on Tuesday that RockHounds infielders Matt Chapman, Franklin Barreto and Wade Kirkland, along with catcher Beau Taylor and RHP Corey Walter, will all represent the South Division in the Texas League All-Star Game, with Midland skipper Ryan Christenson managing the squad.

The Ports moved RHP Casey Meisner out of the starting rotation to try to trun around his bad luck, but it didn’t seem to work on Tuesday. LHP Matt Stalcup made the start and surrendered just 2 hits over 4 shutout innings before giving way to Meisner, who allowed 2 runs, just 1 earned, over 3 innings of work and ended up suffering his 11th straight loss for Stockton. The Ports managed just 1 run on 5 hits on Tuesday. Shortstop Richie Martin had a pair of singles and a walk in the loss.
