Prospect Of The Game:

Pitcher Heath Fillmyer

(6 IP / 8 H / 1 ER / 1 BB / 6 K)

Stockton lost its eighth straight with the help of 5 errors on Tuesday night. Starter Heath Fillmyer pitched well, allowing 3 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 6 over 6 innings of work. RHP Liam Hendriks struck out 1 while throwing a scoreless 7th inning in his first rehab appearance for the Ports. But after Stockton took a 2-run lead in the 7th inning, RHP Lou Trivino was charged with 3 runs, just 1 earned, in the top of the 9th to take the loss. Second baseman Joe Bennie doubled, walked and drove in 3 runs, while center fielder James Harris walked and singled in a run, and Bennie, Harris and Trivino, along with right fielder Seth Brown and first baseman Sandber Pimentel, all committed errors in the loss. But on a happier note, Bennie was named the California League Player of the Week after going 13 for 23 with 1 home run, 3 doubles and 6 RBIs for Stockton last week.
