The Sounds had their nine-game winning streak snapped in a 10-inning loss to rival Round Rock on Wednesday. Nashville was down by 6 runs heading into the bottom of the 9th inning, but third baseman Renato Nunez’s team-leading 10th home run, a 3-run shot, cut the deficit in half. And after the Sounds plated another run, right fielder Matt Olson, who had struck out 3 times in the game, tagged a 2-run homer to tie things up and send the game to extra innings. But RHP Ryan Brasier surrendered 6 runs in the top of the 10th to take the loss. Nunez also singled in the 1st inning and drove in the Sounds’ first run with a sacrifice fly in the 5th, while center fielder Jaycob Brugman had 4 hits, including a double as well as an RBI triple in the 7th, and second baseman Chad Pinder singled, walked and doubled in a run in the 10th. Starter Angel Castro allowed 7 runs, 4 earned, over 4 innings of work, while RHP Eduard Santos struck out 5 in 3 scoreless innings of relief for the Sounds.
