After enjoying an eight-game winning streak on their recent road trip, Nashville returned home to win its ninth straight in extra innings on Tuesday. Down by a run with two men on and two outs in the bottom of the 12th inning, shortstop Chad Pinder singled in both runners to allow the Sounds win in a walk-off and extend their streak. Pinder also doubled then came around to score the tying run in the 7th. Right fielder Matt Olson continued his recent resurgence, collecting a pair of doubles and a pair of walks while driving in a pair of runs. Third baseman Renato Nunez notched his 9th home run, a solo shot in the 6th, and first baseman Ryon Healy, second baseman Joey Wendle and designated hitter Andrew Lambo had a pair of hits apiece. Starter Chris Smith allowed 3 runs over 5 2/3 innings, while RHP Ryan Doolittle gave up the go-ahead run in the top of the 12th but wound up being credited with the victory after the Sounds’ came back to win. Meanwhile, with LHP Eric Surkamp’s recall by the A’s, RHP Zach Neal was optioned back to Nashville and, after he was called up to make a spot start for the Sounds on Sunday, RHP James Naile was returned to Beloit.

The RockHounds shut out Springfield on just 4 hits in a game that was delayed by rain for an hour and ten minutes in the middle of the 1st inning on Tuesday. Starter Chris Jensen pitched a perfect top of the 1st but didn’t return after the rain delay. RHP Ben Bracewell came on to toss 4 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win, while first baseman Viosergy Rosa walked and singled in the first 2 runs for the RockHounds. Meanwhile, RHP Joey Wagman was reassigned from the RockHounds to Stockton on Tuesday, and RHP Daniel Gossett is set to make his debut on the mound for Midland on Wednesday.

RHP Boomer Biegalski turned in another solid start for the Snappers, allowing just 1 run over 7 1/3 innings of work, but RHP Cody Kurz picked up the win after tossing a scoreless top of the 10th on Tuesday. Second baseman Trent Gilbert had a pair of hits and a walk and drove in the tying run with two outs in the bottom of the 9th, while shortstop Jesus Lopez, who’d gone 0 for 4 with a pair of strikeouts in the game, singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th as the Snappers won in a walk-off on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Beloit RHP Corey Miller was promoted to the Ports, while RHP Rob Huber was reassigned to the Snappers from Stockton and, after making a spot start for the Sounds on Sunday, RHP James Naile was returned to the Snappers.
