After going 1 for his last 11, right fielder Matt Olson had a big day at the plate on Sunday, collecting 3 hits, including a pair of doubles, driving in a run and even swiping a base for the Sounds. First baseman Rangel Ravelo singled, doubled and drove in a run, while third baseman Max Muncy singled, walked twice, scored twice and stole a base. RHP Henderson Alvarez, in what’s expected to be his last rehab start for the Sounds, allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, walked 1 and struck out 8 over 5 innings of work to earn the win, while LHP Patrick Schuster tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to notch his 3rd save for Nashville.

In his best start since spending time on the disabled list with a trapezius muscle issue, RHP Daniel Gossett allowed 2 runs over 6 innings of work to earn his 2nd win for Stockton on Sunday. Right fielder Tyler Marincov smacked a two-run homer in the top of the 1st inning to put the Ports on the board. It was his ninth on the season and his second in the last two days. First baseman John Nogowski had 2 hits and drove in a pair for the Ports.

The Snappers were shut out on just 1 hit on Sunday. Catching Santiago Chavez singled for his team’s only hit, while starter Xavier Altamirano allowed 4 runs over 4 1/3 innings to suffer his 4th loss for the Snappers.
