A’s top pitching prospect Sean Manaea turned in another impressive start for the Sounds on Saturday, allowing just 1 run while striking out 11 over 6 2/3 innings to earn his 2nd win for Nashville. Manaea has allowed just 1 run in each of his first two starts for the Sounds while notching 17 strikeouts in 12 innings of work. RHP Eduard Santos tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up his 1st save. Third baseman Renato Nunez homered for the second straight night and also singled in the Sounds’ first run in the top of the 1st, while second baseman Joey Wendle slugged a 2-run shot in the 2nd, and first baseman Rangel Ravelo singled in Nashville’s final run in the 8th. RHP Chris Smith is set to make the start for the Sounds on Sunday.

Outfielder Brett Siddall

Beloit tied the game in the bottom of the 9th on center fielder Skye Bolt’s 2-out RBI single, then right fielder Brett Siddall singled in a run in the bottom of the 12th to give the Snappers the walk-off win on Saturday. Bolt also doubled in Beloit’s first run in the bottom of the 1st, and Siddall reached base 5 times, on 4 hits and a walk. RHP Kyle Friedrichs had another solid start for the Snappers, allowing just 1 run over 5 innings of work, while RHP Dustin Driver tossed 3 scoreless innings in relief, and LHP Jared Lyons picked up the win by pitching a spotless 12th.
