Fillmyer ended up allowing just 1 run on 3 hits over 5 2/3 innings to earn the win in his California League debut. RHP Carlos Navas tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief, while RHP Ben Bracewell allowed 1 run over the final 2 innings to pick up the save for the Ports. Third baseman Jose Brizuela and designated hitter James Harris drove in runs with back-to-back doubles in the bottom of the 5th, while center fielder B.J. Boyd and second baseman Joe Bennie followed with back-to-back RBI singles in the same inning to account for all of Stockton’s scoring on the day. In other news, A’s infielder Eric Sogard is scheduled to join Stockton on Monday to begin a rehab assignment.
