A’s Prospect AFL Highlights

(October 13 – 16)

Tuesday, October 13th:

Second baseman Chad Pinder hit 2 home runs, singled and drove in 4 runs in his AFL debut, while third baseman Renato Nunez went 0 for 3 with a walk in Mesa’s 8-7 loss on Tuesday.

Wednesday, October 14th:

Center fielder Jaycob Brugman went 0 for 4 with a walk, while LHP Sean Manaea allowed 1 run in 4 innings. RHP Aaron Kurcz gave up 3 runs, 2 earned, in 1 inning, RHP Bendan McCurry tossed 1 scoreless frame, and RHP Kris Hall allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in 1 inning, to take the loss as Mesa fell 7-6 on Wednesday.

Thursday, October 15th:

Third baseman Renato Nunez and center fielder Jaycob Brugman each went 1 for 4 with a double, while second baseman Chad Pinder went 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts as Mesa was shut out 3-0 on Thursday.

Friday, October 16th:

Designated hitter Renato Nunez and center fielder Jaycob Brugman both went 1 for 5, while RHP Kris Hall gave up 3 runs in 1 inning, and RHP Brendan McCurry allowed 1 run in 1 inning in Mesa’s 20-6 loss on Friday.

Saturday-Sunday, October 17th-18th:

No games scheduled.
