LHP Sean Manaea, acquired from Kansas City in the Ben Zobrist trade, turned in another impressive start for the RockHounds on Saturday, scattering just 3 hits while striking out 7 over 7 shutout innings to earn his 5th win for Midland. RHP Tucker Healy tossed a scoreless 8th inning and RHP Brendan McCurry picked up his 4th save despite giving up a run in the top of the 9th. First baseman Anthony Aliotti hit a 2-run homer in the 6th to provide all the runs the RockHounds would need on Saturday. Shortstop Chad Pinder doubled, walked and scored a run, while third baseman Ryon Healy and designated hitter Renato Nunez had a pair of hits apiece, and second baseman Colin Walsh drew 3 walks to increase his league-leading total to 110 and raise his league-leading on-base percentage to .447.

LHP Matt Stalcup delivered a strong start for Stockton on Saturday, allowing just 1 run and striking out 6 over 7 innings of work to earn his 3rd win, while RHP Corey Walter pitched a scoreless 9th to post his 7th save for the Ports. Catcher Jacob Nottingham singled, walked and hit his 6th home run in the 2nd inning to tie the game, while second baseman Branden Cogswell tripled in a run in the 7th. Shortstop Yairo Munoz singled, doubled and walked, and first baseman Michael Soto had a pair of doubles and scored twice for the Ports.

RHP Heath Fillmyer turned in his fifth straight solid start for the Snappers on Saturday, allowing 1 run on just 1 hit, a home run in the 5th inning, over 6 innings of work, but he left the game with his team down by a run. RHP Jon Massad tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, and RHP Koby Gauna got the final three outs in the 9th to notch his 4th save. Second baseman Tim Proudfoot had a pair of doubles and drove in the tying run in the top of the 9th, while outfielder James Harris had 3 hits, including a triple, and drove in the winning run with a bunt single in the 9th for the Snappers.

Starter Kyle Friedrichs tossed 3 shutout innings to start things off for the Lake Monsters, while RHP Bowdien Derby followed up with 3 scoreless frames of his own and left the game with his team up by five runs on Saturday. LHP Jared Lyons then allowed 4 unearned runs, with the help of a fielding error, a dropped popup and a wild pitch, in just 2/3 of an inning, and LHP Tyler Painton gave up 3 runs over 2 1/3 innings to take the loss. Right fielder Brett Siddall tripled, doubled and scored a run, while center fielder Seth Brown singled, doubled and drove in a run, and second baseman Trace Loehr singled in a pair and stole a base for the Lake Monsters.

20-year-old Venezuelan LHP Ivan Andueza gave up 2 runs in 2 innings of work to put the AZL A’s in an early hole on Saturday. But 19-year-old RHP Branden Kelliher had his best outing this summer for the A’s, allowing just 2 hits over 4 scoreless innings to keep the game close until the A’s could tie things up in the top of the 7th. But RHP Marc Berube gave up the winning run in the bottom of the 8th to suffer his 2nd loss. Outfielder Rodolfo Penalo doubled in a run, while catcher Robert Mullen singled, walked and stole a base as the AZL A’s lost their final game of the season to finish 2015 with a 24-32 record.
