Second baseman Joey Wendle hit his 8th home run to tie the game in the bottom of the 3rd and also drove in another run in the 8th and doubled and was thrown out at the plate in the 1st on Saturday. And Wendle is now 10 for 19 with a pair of home runs over his past 5 games for the Sounds. Center fielder Craig Gentry reached base 4 times, on 3 hits and a walk, and drove in the go-ahead run in the 8th, while third baseman Brent Morel had a pair of doubles, and shortstop Andy Parrino had 2 hits and 2 walks for Nashville. Starter Nate Long was solid, allowing 1 run over 7 innings of work and left with the game tied, while RHP Brock Huntzinger tossed a scoreless 8th to earn the win, and RHP Angel Castro got the final three outs in the 9th to notch his 6th save for the Sounds. Meanwhile, the A’s reinstated LHP Sean Doolittle from the disabled list and optioned RHP Dan Otero back to Nashville.

With two outs, two on and his team down by a run in the top of the 2nd, catcher Nick Rickles doubled in both the tying and the go-ahead run for the RockHounds on Saturday. Rickles also singled and drove in another run on a sacrifice fly, while third baseman Ryon Healy had a pair of doubles and drove in a run for the RockHounds. Starter Sean Manaea allowed 3 runs over 5 innings of work to pick up his 4th win, while RHP Ryan Doolittle tossed a scoreless 9th to earn his 3rd save for Midland.

Starter Raul Alcantara allowed 1 run over 3 innings of work, while RHP Kyle Finnegan tossed a near-perfect 4 innings in relief, allowing just 1 hit while walking none and striking out 5 over 4 scoreless frames to earn his 8th win, and RHP Corey Walter got the final three outs to post his 6th save for the Ports. Designated hitter Trent Gilbert singled and doubled in the winning run in the top of the 5th, while outfielder B.J. Boyd had a pair of doubles, and catcher Jacob Nottingham singled in the first run for Stockton in the 4th.

Right fielder Shawn Duinkerk collected 3 hits, including a triple, and drove in 2 runs, while center fielder Justin Higley and designated hitter Jose Brizuela both had 2 hits and drove in a pair for the Snappers. Starter Joey Wagman allowed 3 runs over 6 innings of work to earn his 8th win, while LHP Jose Torres struck out 3 in 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to post his 8th save for Beloit.

Shortstop Eric Marinez had 2 hits and drove in a pair of runs, including the winning run in the top of the 9th for the A’s on Saturday. First baseman Shane Conlon tripled and singled in a run, while designated hitter Andy Paz had 2 hits and a walk and drove in a run, and outfielder Luis Barrera had 3 hits, including a double, and scored twice. Starter Jordan Schwartz tossed 2 scoreless innings, while RHP Xavier Altamirano allowed 1 run over 4 innings of work. RHP Yordy Alejo gave up 1 unearned run in 1 inning of relief and picked up the win, and RHP Dustin Hurlbutt got the final three outs to post his 5th save for the A’s.
