Farmhand Of The Game:

Second Baseman Colin Walsh

(4 for 5 / 2 Doubles / RBI)

Second baseman Colin Walsh had another big night at the plate as he continues to put together one of the finest seasons on the field of any player in the A’s system this year. The 25-year-old had a pair of singles and a pair of doubles to raise his batting average to .309 while also driving in a run in the RockHounds’ 3-run 4th inning on Friday. Designated hitter Bruce Maxwell singled, doubled and drove in a pair, while outfielder Josh Whitaker hit his 9th home run for the Hounds. Starter Parker Frazier allowed just 1 run through the first 6 innings but then gave up 3 runs in the 7th to tie the game, and he ended up allowing 4 runs on 6 hits over 6 2/3 innings and left with the game a 4-4 tie. RHP Tucker Healy tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief, but RHP Seth Frankoff gave up 1 unearned run in the bottom of the 9th, with the help of a fielding error by first baseman Anthony Aliotti, to allow Corpus Christi to win in a walk-off and suffer his 1st loss for the RockHounds.
