Designated hitter Ryon Healy had a big night for the RockHounds, highlighted by an RBI single to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th and give Midland the walk-off win on Tuesday. Healy also singled and scored the RockHounds’ first run of the game in the 4th and doubled and scored the Hounds’ first run in their 3-run 9th. Outfielder Jaycob Brugman had a pair of singles and doubled in 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game, while catcher Bruce Maxwell doubled in the first run in the 9th, and second baseman Colin Walsh doubled and walked twice as the RockHounds won their third straight. Starter Jake Sanchez allowed 4 runs over 6 innings of work, while relievers Chris Lamb and Seth Frankoff combined to throw 3 scoreless innings to keep the game tight until the 9th. RHP Ryan Dull then pitched a perfect 10th to post his 3rd win.

LHP Sean Nolin turned in a strong start for Nashville on Tuesday, tossing 5 1/3 scoreless innings to earn his 1st win as the Sounds snapped their 5-game losing streak. Outfielder Jason Pridie continued his hot hitting, collecting a single, a double and a walk and driving in 3 runs. Third baseman Ryan Roberts had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a run, while outfielder Matt Carson doubled and drew a pair of walks. First baseman Anthony Aliotti walked and singled in a run, and designated hitter Ike Davis went 1 for 5 and scored twice in the win.

RHP Joel Seddon had another solid start for Stockton on Tuesday, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings of work, but he left the game with his team down by two runs. RHP Sam Roberts then gave up 1 run in 1 2/3 innings of relief to put Ports down by 3. But Stockton came back to put 4 runs on the board in the top of the 9th to walk away with the win. Designated hitter Branden Cogswell had a pair of hits in the game and singled in the winning run in the 9th. LHP Matt Stalcup picked up the win after notching the final out in the 8th, and RHP Brendan McCurry pitched a perfect 9th to post his 10th save for the Ports.

RHP Junior Mendez had another shaky start for the Snappers on Tuesday, allowing 3 runs over 5 innings of work to take his 5th loss, while LHP Jerad Grundy gave up 3 more runs, 2 earned, in 2 innings of relief. Outfielder Joe Bennie had a pair of hits, while third baseman Jose Brizuela doubled and scored, and designated hitter Max Kuhn singled in the Snappers’ only run as the team dropped its fourth straight.
