With one on, one out and the game tied in the top of the 11th, outfielder Jaycob Brugman provided the big hit by tripling in the winning run for the RockHounds and snapping Midland’s 4-game losing streak on Monday. Brugman also doubled earlier in the game, while first baseman Ryon Healy doubled in the 11th and came across to score the winning run. Outfielder Chad Oberacker had a pair of singles and a walk, and third baseman Renato Nunez returned to action after battling nagging injuries this spring and went 0 for 3 with a pair of walks and made a throwing error at third in his season debut for Midland. Starter Jake Sanchez allowed 3 runs over 5 innings of work, while RHPs Bobby Wahl, Ryan Dull and Ryan Doolittle each tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, with Doolittle picking up his 1st win for the RockHounds.

RHP Arnold Leon had a solid outing for the Sounds on Monday, allowing 2 runs while striking out 5 over 6 innings of work but still ended up taking his 1st loss for Nashville. RHPs Seth Frankoff and Fernando Rodriguez combined on 3 scoreless innings of relief, while shortstop Andy Parrino doubled, walked and scored Nashville’s only run of the game, and first baseman Nate Freiman went 0 for 2 and drove in Parrino with a sacrifice fly in his first rehab appearance for the Sounds.

The Ports hit double digits in runs for the second time this season on Monday. First baseman John Nogowski led the attack, collecting a pair of doubles and hitting a 2-run homer in the 1st for Stockton, while outfielder J.P. Sportman doubled, homered and drove in 3. Designated hitter Justin Higley singled, homered and scored twice, and outfielder Tyler Marincov doubled, walked, stole a base and drove in 3 runs in the win. Outfielder Coco Crisp went 1 for 5 with a double in his second rehab game with the Ports. RHP Joel Seddon allowed 2 runs over 4 innings of work in his first start for Stockton, while RHP Brendan McCurry struck out 5 in 3 scoreless innings of relief to earn his 1st win, and RHP Corey Walter got the final six outs for the Ports.

Outfielder Joe Bennie had three hits, drove in a run and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the 8th for Beloit on Monday. First baseman Max Kuhn and outfielder Shawn Duinkerk had a pair of hits apiece, while third baseman Edwin Diaz doubled in the go-ahead run in the 6th, and outfielder Brett Vertigan walked 4 times and scored a run for the Snappers. Starter Junior Mendez had a solid outing, allowing just 2 unearned runs over 5 innings of work, and left with the game tied. RHP Corey Miller pitched 2 perfect innings in relief, while LHP Mike Fagan gave up the tying run in the 8th, and RHP Rob Huber tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings to earn his 1st win. Meanwhile, RHP Heath Fillmyer was placed on the disabled list for the Snappers.
