With the game tied in the bottom of the 8th in Beloit, shortstop Yairo Munoz stepped to the plate and led off the inning with a game-winning home run for the Snappers. Munoz also singled in the game. Right fielder Robert Martinez collected 3 hits, including a double, while center fielder Brett Vertigan singled, doubled and drove in a run. Starter Junior Mendez turned in a solid outing, allowing 2 runs, just 1 earned, over 5 innings of work. LHP Mike Fagan pitched 2 perfect innings in relief, while LHP Cody Stull tossed a scoreless 8th to pick up his 1st win, and RHP Trevor Bayless got the final three outs to earn his 2nd save for the Snappers.

Oklahoma City had a 4-run 2nd inning off Sounds starter Brad Mills, who ended up allowing 4 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings of work to take his 3rd loss on Thursday. RHP Fernando Rodriguez struck out 4 in 3 perfect innings of relief. Third baseman Niuman Romero had a pair of hits and drove in Nashville’s first run of the game in the 4th, while center fielder Billy Burns reached base twice, on a single and a walk. Left fielder Jason Pridie singled and stole a base, and catcher Blake Forsythe went 0 for 3 with a walk in his first game for Nashville. In other news, Sounds RHP Chris Bassitt was recalled by the A’s and, after making his major league debut on Wednesday night, RHP Arnold Leon was optioned back to Nashville.

Left fielder Jaycob Brugman had 3 hits, including a pair of doubles, stole a base and drove in a run to help the RockHounds win on Thursday. First baseman Matt Olson had a pair of singles and a double, while center fielder Chad Oberacker doubled in 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd to put Midland on the board, and catcher Bruce Maxwell doubled in another run in the 4th. Outfielder Bobby Crocker was placed on the disabled list before Thursday’s game, while outfielder Josh Whitaker went 1 for 3 with a walk in his return to action for the RockHounds. With RHP Nate Long reassigned to Nashville, RHP Kris Hall made the emergency start for Midland and allowed 1 run over 3 innings of work, while LHP Jim Fuller tossed 4 scoreless innings in relief to earn his 1st win for the RockHounds.

Rehabbing RHP Jarrod Parker made his first start for Stockton on Thursday and allowed 3 runs on 4 hits while striking out 1 over 3 2/3 innings to take the loss for the Ports. LHP Dillon Overton tossed 4 scoreless innings in relief. Leadoff man J.P. Sportman, making his second start at second base, homered to lead off the game in the top of the 1st and later singled, walked and stole a base, while first baseman John Nogowski singled and drove in Stockton’s other run in the loss.
