RockHounds outfielder D’Arby Myers doubled and scored the Hounds’ second run of the night in the 7th. Then with two outs in the top of the 9th and the game tied, Myers smacked a solo home run to provide the margin of victory for Midland on Thursday. Designated hitter Jeremy Barfield had 3 hits and drove in a run, while outfielder Kenny Wilson singled, doubled and drove in a run for the RockHounds. Starter Shawn Haviland struck out 6 in 6 shutout innings, but LHP Omar Duran gave up 2 runs in relief, and RHP Ryan Dull tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win for the Hounds.

First baseman Daric Barton hit a 3-run homer in the 5th to give the River Cats the lead, while designated hitter Kyle Blanks went 2 for 3 with a pair of walks and drove in a run, and third baseman Alden Carrithers singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 12th for Sacramento. Starter Matt Buschmann allowed 2 runs in 6 innings of work, while RHP Paul Smyth gave up 2 runs in 2 innings of relief, and RHP Philip Humber tossed a scoreless top of the 12th to pick up the win for the River Cats.

First baseman Matt Olson slugged his league-leading 35th home run, while second baseman Chad Pinder had 2 hits and drove in a run, and catcher Beau Taylor singled and drove in a pair for the Ports. Starter Chris Lamb allowed 3 runs on 9 hits over 4 innings of work, while RHP Andres Avila tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win for the Ports.

Beloit managed just 6 hits on the night. Third baseman Matt Chapman doubled in a run, while catcher Josh Ludy had a pair of hits for the Snappers.
