LHP Drew Pomeranz turned in his fourth straight quality start for Sacramento, allowing just 1 run and striking out 7 over 5 2/3 innings to earn his 2nd win for the River Cats on Friday. RHP Jeremy McBryde pitched a perfect 9th to post his 12th save. Designated hitter Daric Barton hit his 6th home run, a solo shot, and walked twice, while third baseman Alden Carrithers and first baseman Anthony Aliotti both singled and doubled for Sacramento.

Outfielder Jeremy Barfield singled and hit his 2nd home run, while designated hitter Hiro Nakajima had 3 hits, including a double, and scored twice, and third baseman Jefry Marte double in a pair of runs for the RockHounds.

LHP Chris Lamb turned in another strong start for Stockton, allowing just 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 4 over 6 innings of work, but he still ended up taking his 3rd loss on Friday. The Ports managed just 3 hits in the game, with designated hitter Beau Taylor hitting his 2nd home run to account for Stockton’s only run on the night.

Outfielder B.J. Boyd hit a 2-run homer to give Beloit the lead in the 3rd, while designated hitter Ryan Mathews had 2 hits and drove in a run, and shortstop Melvin Mercedes had a pair of doubles and scored 3 times for the Snappers.

Outfielder Ben McQuown hit his 2nd home run, while second baseman Trent Gilbert doubled, and designated hitter Seongmin Kim tripled for the Lake Monsters.

Catcher Argenis Raga singled, tripled and drove in 3 runs, including the winning run in the bottom of the 8th, while first baseman Shawn Duinkerk singled, tripled and scored twice, and outfielder Rodolfo Penalo had a pair of hits, drove in a run and stole his 4th base. Starter Branden Kelliher allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, on 4 hits and 4 walks and struck out 4 over 3 1/3 innings of work, while RHP Travis Pitcher gave up 1 run in 3 innings of relief to earn his 1st win, and RHP Jesus Rivas pitched a perfect 9th to post his 5th save.
