LHP Chris Lamb turned in an impressive start for Stockton on Sunday, allowing just 2 hits while striking out 7 over 7 shutout innings to earn his 4th win for the Ports. Matt Olson, getting another start in right field, had 3 hits, including a 2-run homer, while outfielder Bobby Crocker collected a single and 2 doubles, and catcher Ryan Gorton drove in a pair of runs for the Ports.

Starter Matt Buschmann had a rocky outing for the River Cats on Sunday, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits and 5 walks over 6 2/3 innings to take his 6th loss on Sunday. Designated hitter Daric Barton homered in the 7th to put the Cats on the board, while right fielder Nick Buss had a pair of hits, and left fielder Shane Peterson doubled and scored a run for the River Cats. Meanwhile, Sacramento catcher Luis Exposito was released, and the A’s signed minor league catcher Luis Martinez, who had been playing for Salt Lake before being cut loose by the Angels, and added him to the River Cats roster. Martinez has served brief major league stints with both San Diego and Texas.

Outfielder Kent Matthes continued his hot hitting on Sunday, collecting a home run and a double and driving in 2 runs for the RockHounds. Matthes has now notched 7 home runs over his last 9 games. Third baseman Jefry Marte singled, homered and drove in a pair, while outfielder D’Arby Myers had 3 hits, drove in a run and scored twice, and shortstop Dusty Coleman singled, doubled, walked and scored a run for the RockHounds. Shortstop Yairo Munoz singled, doubled, stole a base and scored twice, while catcher Seongmin Kim doubled in a pair of runs for the Lake Monsters.
