With the game tied in the bottom of the 11th, shortstop Andy Parrino came up with 2 outs and a man on and slugged a game-winning walk-off home run for the River Cats on Thursday. Outfielder Shane Peterson singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs, while first baseman Nate Freiman and designated hitter Colin Walsh had a pair of hits apiece. Starter Josh Lindblom turned in a strong outing for Sacramento, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings and left the game with a 3-run lead. Rehabbing LHP Eric O’Flaherty gave up 2 runs in 2/3 of an inning of relief, while RHP Jeremy McBryde surrendered the tying run in the top of the 9th, and RHP Evan Scribner tossed a scoreless 10th and 11th to pick up his 3rd win for the River Cats. In other news, the A’s signed minor league free agent catcher Luis Exposito and assigned him to Sacramento. The 27-year-old backstop posted a .177/.252/.313 slash line in 29 games this season for Triple-A Toledo. Catcher Blake Forsythe was returned to Midland, while RockHounds outfielder Josh Whitaker is set to join the River Cats roster.

Starter Shawn Haviland allowed 3 runs on 9 hits over 5 2/3 innings to take his 5th loss on Thursday. First baseman Max Muncy bashed a pair of doubles, while shortstop Addison Russell tripled in a pair of runs, and outfielder Billy Burns singled twice and notched his 38th stolen base for Midland. Meanwhile, catcher Blake Forsythe returned to the RockHounds from the River Cats. And with outfielder D’Arby Myers’ return from the disabled list, Midland’s best-hitting outfielder, Josh Whitaker, is set to join Sacramento.

First baseman Matt Olson’s power surge continued on Thursday, as he notched his 3rd multi-homer game in the last 8 days, launching his 21st and 22nd home runs in Stockton’s loss. Shortstop Daniel Robertson hit his 8th home run, while outfielder Billy McKinney and designated hitter Ryon Healy had 3 hits apiece. Starter Yeiper Castillo had a rough outing, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits over 2 2/3 innings, while RHP Josh Bowman gave up 2 runs in 2 1/3 innings in relief to take the loss for the Ports.

RHP Hunter Adkins allowed 6 runs, 2 earned, over 3 2/3 innings to take the loss in his first appearance for the Snappers. Outfielder Tyler Marincov hit a 2-run homer in the 2nd inning to briefly give Beloit the lead, while hot-hitting outfielder Jaycob Brugman singled and doubled in the game. Second baseman Chih Fang Pan singled, walked twice and made a pair of errors in the field, and 1st-round draft pick Matt Chapman went 1 for 3, walked and drove in a run and is now 4 for 11 with a walk and 2 RBIs in his first 3 games for the Snappers. Meanwhile, the A’s 22nd-round pick out of Oklahoma State, RHP Brendan McCurry, is set to join the team.

LHP Jose Torres had a shaky start for the Lake Monsters on Thursday, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks over 4 1/3 innings of work to take his 2nd loss, while RHP Lee Sosa gave up 3 runs in 2 2/3 innings of relief for Vermont. Catcher Kyle Wheeler singled, doubled and drove in a run, while outfielder Justin Higley and first baseman Brett Vertigan both singled, walked and stole a base in the loss. Meanwhile, the A’s 10th-round pick out of Pepperdine, RHP Corey Miller, is set to join the Lake Monsters.

Korean catcher Seongmin Kim singled and homered, while shortstop Edwin Diaz collected 3 hits and drove in a run, and outfielder J.P. Sportman and designated hitter Argenis Raga had a pair of hits apiece in the loss.
