After struggling his first time out, RHP Dan Straily was far more impressive in his second start for Sacramento on Monday, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits while striking out 8 over 7 innings to earn the win. RHP Fernando Nieve tossed a scoreless 8th inning, and RHP Evan Scribner got the final 3 outs in the 9th for his 7th save. With the River Cats down by one in the 6th, shortstop Andy Parrino hit his 1st home run to tie the game, and designated hitter Alden Carrithers singled in outfielder Nick Buss in the 7th to provide the winning run for the River Cats. Meanwhile, catcher Stephen Vogt went 2 for 4 to post his fourth-straight two-hit game for Sacramento.

The RockHounds’ lineup was quieted in a 2-hit shutout on Monday. The team’s only 2 hits were singles off the bats of first baseman Anthony Aliotti and shortstop Dusty Coleman. RHP Chris Jensen had his second straight rough start for the RockHounds, allowing 7 runs on 9 hits over 6 innings to take his 3rd loss, while RHP Tucker Healy struck out 2 in 2 perfect innings of relief in his first appearance since being promoted to the Hounds.

Shortstop Daniel Robertson walked and had 3 hits, including the game-winner to bring around the winning run in the bottom on the 11th inning for the Ports on Monday. Outfielder Aaron Shipman also had 3 hits and drove in a pair of runs in the 6th, while catcher Bruce Maxwell tagged a 2-run homer in the 4th. LHP Chris Lamb was a little shaky in his first start for Stockton, allowing 5 runs on 3 hits and 6 walks over 4 innings of work, while RHP Kris Hall tossed 2 scoreless innings of relief, RHP Michael Ynoa struck out 2 and walked 1 over 3 scoreless and hitless innings, and RHP Nolan Sanburn got the final 6 outs to earn his 1st win for Stockton.

RHP Ronald Herrera had a rare rough start for the Snappers on Monday, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits over 5 innings to take his 4th loss, while RHPs Tyler Vail, Stuart Pudenz and Tyler Hollstegge each tossed a scoreless inning in relief. Outfielder Tyler Marincov tagged a 2-run homer, while catcher Jose Chavez doubled and drove in a run, and outfielder Jaycob Brugman had a pair of hits in the loss.
