In his first game back for Beloit after spending almost a month on the disabled list with a strained oblique, RHP Bobby Wahl allowed 1 run in 3 innings of work before giving way to LHP Brent Powers, who tossed 4 perfect innings in relief to earn his 2nd win. RHP Tyler Vail, who was set to make his first appearance of the season for the Snappers after returning from injury, exited the game before throwing his first pitch due to some sort of arm discomfort. But outfielder B.J. Boyd belted a 2-run homer, while catcher Jose Chavez had 2 hits and drove in a run, and second baseman Sam Roberts doubled in a pair to help the Snappers prevail. Meanwhile, RHPs Lee Sosa and Trevor Bayless were returned to extended spring training in Arizona in order to make room on the roster for Wahl and Vail.
