RHP Seth Streich turned in an impressive start for Stockton, allowing just 3 hits while walking none and striking out 9 over 6 scoreless innings, and he left the game with a 3-run lead. In his first appearance for the Ports, RHP Hunter Adkins came on to give up 2 runs in 1 2/3 innings of relief, and RHP Nolan Sanburn surrendered 2 more runs – the tying run in the 9th and the winning run in the 10th – to take the loss. Designated hitter Renato Nunez singled, walked twice and drove in a run, while second baseman Chad Pinder also singled in a run, and shortstop Daniel Robertson singled and scored twice for the Ports. Meanwhile, Stockton starter Shawn Haviland was promoted to Midland and Hunter Adkins is expected to join RHPs Seth Streich, Josh Bowman, Manny Correa and Tim Atherton as the newest member of Stockton’s starting rotation.

RHP Josh Lindblom had a rocky outing for the River Cats, allowing 6 runs, 5 earned, on 9 hits over 6 innings to take the loss, while rehabbing RHP Fernando Rodriguez struck out 3 in 2 scoreless innings of relief, and RHP Philip Humber surrendered 1 run in the 9th. Outfielder Shane Peterson smacked his 2nd home run for Sacramento, while shortstop Tyler Ladendorf doubled in a run, catcher Ryan Ortiz singled, doubled and scored, and first baseman Anthony Aliotti collected 3 hits for the River Cats.

Starter Tanner Peters allowed 4 runs, 3 earned, in 6 innings of work to take his 3rd loss on Thursday, while LHP Frank Gailey tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Blake Hassebrock got the final 3 outs in the loss. Designated hitter Josh Whitaker singled and doubled, while outfielder Billy Burns had a pair of hits and was caught stealing, and second baseman Colin Walsh singled in the RockHounds’ only run of the game. In other news, RHP Shawn Haviland was promoted from Stockton to join RHPs Tanner Peters, Drew Granier, Raul Alcantara and Chris Jensen in the RockHounds rotation.

Starter Kyle Finnegan had another solid outing for the Snappers, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings of work to earn his 1st win, while RHP Stuart Pudenz tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief. Designated hitter B.J. Boyd doubled and hit a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 3rd inning to give Beloit the lead, while first baseman Michael Soto slugged a 2-run homer in the 6th, and outfielder Jaycob Brugman collected 3 hits on the night. In other news, RHP Bobby Wahl is currently suffering from an oblique strain and RHP Junior Mendez is reportedly headed to Beloit to join the Snappers, while catcher Iolana Akau was sent back to extended spring training in Arizona with catcher Jose Chavez officially joining the team.
