RHP Tim Atherton was solid in his third start for Stockton on Monday, allowing 2 runs while striking out 5 in 6 innings of work to earn his 1st win for the Ports. RHP Tucker Healy gave up his 1st run of the season in 2 innings of relief, while RHP Nolan Sanburn surrendered 2 runs in the 9th. Third baseman Renato Nunez tripled and scored a run, while outfielder Bobby Crocker collected 3 hits, stole a base and drove in a run, designated hitter Ryon Healy singled, doubled and drove in a run, and second baseman Chad Pinder singled and drove in 3 runs for the Ports.

In Other News…
As we mentioned yesterday, with the recent retirement of RHP Joe Blanton, it looks like RockHounds RHP Zach Neal will soon be joining RHPs Arnold Leon, Josh Lindblom, Matt Buschmann and Sean Murphy in the River Cats rotation. The question now becomes, who will replace Neal in the RockHounds rotation? RHP Murphy Smith, who was moved to the Midland bullpen to start the season, and veteran minor league RHP Manny Correa, who’s currently pitching for the Ports, would seem to be the two most likely suspects at this point.
