  1. On the Beloit we have Boog Powell playing? When did we make that trade with the Baltimore?
Old people remember the great Boog Powell from the 60′ and 70’s.

  2. Looks like the River Cats have 29 players (counting Jake Elmore, now on A’s Injured list)…for a 25-man roster. So do the extras just go to AZL until an injury frees up spots?

    1. Rehabbing players and players on the DL don’t count against the roster limits. So if you subtract Rodriguez and Elmore, there’s actually 26 on the official active roster – 13 hitters and 13 pitchers. And I’m suspecting there may be a new rule regarding roster limits since all the A’s affiliates are starting the season with 26 active players on the roster this year.

    2. FYI, turns out there was 1 player on each roster who was DL’d that was previously unannounced – so it’s 25 active players per roster as always.
